We  spent some time on a new resources section to save some of your time and we welcome any more suggestions. eno event small 6Greennovate participated in eno’s event to mark World Environment Day at their flagship store in Shanghai.
Greennovate’s contribution was a  game show called Environmental Jeopardy in which 4 participants competed to answer questions on the four environmental topics from eno’s NETI series of environmental t-shirts – energy, waste, water and trees. Greennovate facilitator Todd Hu hosted the quiz in fine style, dressed head to toe in a  white-furred yeti costume (Note to eno: Don’t forget to wash it!). The quiz was no walk in the park, and contestants quickly discovered the limits of their environmental knowledge (sample question: What is the largest manmade structure in the world? No, not the Great Wall. It’s actually the old NYC landfill called Fresh Kills). All present came away from the quiz having learned a few things and with their green curiosities sparked!

Greennovate visited the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art yesterday to teach a class of graphic design students. We provided students with environmental awareness training to inspire students to use their graphic design skills to communicate ways to live greener.

Greennovate and Naked Retreats are joining forces to create more reason to come and enjoy the fresh mountain air of Moganshan! The partnership between two companies will be contributing to sustainable development by educating the next generation of decision-makers and series of innovative green projects throughout 2009.

GECKO program will be launched in February in Moganshan town’s middle school with Greennovate teaching 200 kids for the next 6 months. At the same time, Naked Retreats are integrating Greennovate’s BEAT , Business environmental awareness training in their offer for corporate customers. Companies could request one or two days BEAT program where their employees learn about environment in fun and creative ways and get directly involved with the local communities.

And there is more coming up! In early March a week-long Big Litter Pick will be organized at Moganshan. The event will take place with schools, companies, families and individuals all invited to help clean up the mountain and raise funds to continue growing the local education programs.

Contact us for more information and stay tuned!
