With 2010 just behind us, the GECKO team took a view back at the year and what it meant for our program. We are about to finish the report, which will of course be published on this website. What we can already share with you now, is our plan for the new year! In 2011, we will take GECKO one step further, by putting the education materials online. From our experience in schools, Chinese youth is eager to learn more environmental knowledge than we have the capacity to provide in our lessons. Today we are proud to launch our brand new GECKO Places map! On Googles Maps Online Service, you can see each and every location that GECKO has visited since March 2008. It's a comvenient way to visualize GECKO's activities. On the map, just click on the placemarks, and a window will pop up, with a short description, picture, and link to the longer report on our blog.

Greennovate at Xunji Forum

Last Saturday, Greennovate’s founder, Mihela Hladin, was invited to Fudan University to attend the 2nd ‘Xunji Forum’, an event which promotes social innovation among young people in China. At the forum, Mihela shared her experiences in China with students from both Singapore and China. She talked about how Greennovate came into being, and her attitude towards environment and life. She described the “Pissed Off” gene as a central driver behind her own and many change makers’ actions.
